Act Responsible,
Think Sustainable
At CIMA, we recognize the importance of combining sound financial performance with a commitment to social responsibility, environmental stewardship and economic prosperity.
A Comprehensive Approach to Sustainability

Environmental stewardship is our priority as we strive to achieve sustainability and environmental preservation. We are committed to continuously improve in our operation in a sustainable manner by strictly adhering to our environmental policy by:
-
Reducing the carbon footprint by incorporating other industry’s wastes such as Fluoride Sludge, Fluid Cracking Catalyst and Fly Ash in our production.
-
Retrieving the co-processing license and special waste management approval from the Department of Environment in relation to legal requirement.
-
Preserving the environment by exploring alternative fuel such as paddy husk, carbon black and energy recycling to reduce our dependence on coal and diesel.
-
Creating natural control barriers against dust and noise from our operations through reforestation and greening initiatives.
-
Adopting operational controls such as noise suppression, isolation of noise sources and careful handling of blasting activities to mitigate the noise pollution.
-
Appointing competent professionals who are fully certified by the Department of Environment to manage EIA projects, scheduled wastes and bag filter operations.
-
All of our plants are certified with ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System).
Nature & Environment

Our Health and Safety Environmental (HSE) Committee is being guided by the Main Committee and Accident Investigation Committee. The Company’s Health and Safety Management System and the Plant Operation and Equipment Manual serve to guide our employees and relevant parties involved in the day-to-day operation.
The Emergency Response Preparedness (ERP) approach which has been developed will allow us to mitigate any emergency or occupational incidents, as well as natural disasters through close collaboration with relevant authorities such as Fire and Rescue Department, Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) and Ministry of Health (MOH).
